National Lighthouse Day at the Lighthouse

The North Point Lighthouse Museum is celebrating National Lighthouse Day.

Admission $5 | Members, Veterans and Active Military, Free

Presentation of the colors by the United States Coast Guard Honor Detail at noon on lighthouse east lawn.

12:00 Curator Mark Kuehn welcomes all to North Point Lighthouse, thanks VIPs Colonel Richard Ippolito, US Army and Major Jim Pelkey, USMC Retired and Marine Corps League, and explains importance of the U.S. Lighthouse Service pennant

12:05 Lloyd Seawright explains importance of the flag, thanks the American Legion

12:07 Father Andrew Linn gives Invocation

12:10 U.S. Coast Guard Commander Dan Somma calls Flag Detail to attention and gives command to raise colors

12:11 Flag Detail raises colors and pennant

12:15 Alderman Nik Kovac provides comments

12:20 John Dargle, County Parks, provides comments

12:25 Attendees are invited to stand near flagpole for photo opportunity
